Cassie Gruenstein

Founder

Cassie Gruenstein (she/her) is a growth strategist, program designer, facilitator, and executive coach.

For 25 years, she has designed and launched social impact strategies and programs. Since 2010, she has been a trusted advisor to leaders and founders as a consultant, supporting 50+ philanthropic, nonprofit, and corporate clients in organizational development and scaling impact.

Cassie is passionate about using digital technologies to catalyze social change and advance equity. As the Founder of Plus Impact Partners, she is on a mission to build community for consultants working at the intersection of technology and social impact.

In 2017, Cassie moved into tech, as Global Director of Social Impact for Siberia, a product design and engineering studio. She led a cross-functional team of designers, engineers, and strategists in the development of tech for good projects, including an impact strategy for a $1B Google Ventures backed startup and a technology product intended to disrupt the $2B bail industry.

From 2019 - 2021, as Chief Strategy Officer for Full Circle Fund, a “venture philanthropy” funder, she led the growth stage Nonprofit Technology Accelerator, creating $450,000+ in value for each participating tech nonprofit, and social return on investment for partners like Okta, GitHub, and other corporate members of #ImpactCloud.

In work and life, Cassie aims to be an ally and co-conspirator in the disruption of structures preventing equity and unity in our communities. She has been a corporate trainer on Identity, Power, and Privilege at companies like Steelcase and Yelp, leading design of the workshop in 2021.

Cassie has also taught human centered design at UC Berkeley’s Haas School of Business, been a speaker at Candid on ways nonprofits can advance their mission with technology, and co-founded the corporate strategy consultancy, Berkeley Innovation Group (BIG) out of Haas, serving Fortune 500 clients like GE, Comcast, and Kaiser Permanente.

Cassie lives in Oakland, California with her kittens, Momo and Beans. She also teaches yoga, enjoys hiking, cooking, and being an aunt.
